Servesto provides standard protocols for electron microscopy (EM) specimen preparation and the related high-quality equipment and reagents.
The EM is a type of microscope that uses a beam of accelerated electrons to create a living image of specimen. EM has become the most popular method to investigate the ultrastructure of numerous biological and inorganic specimens, such as cells, virus, macromolecules complexes, biopsy samples, metals, and crystals. All Ems apply electromagnetic and/or electrostatic lenses to control the path of electrons. Thus, the EMs are classified as two types according to the different detections to samples, including transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Recently, with the rapid development of cryo-EM, high-resolution EM images become attainable for single particles. Images of different orientations are subsequently processed for reconstructing the 3D structures.
Thanks to our committed partners, we can provide global service 24/7, putting the interests of customers at the top of our list. Experienced experts from Servesto are proud to present you EM services for:
To produce a suitable sample required for the process of electron microscope, the whole of the inside of an electron microscope must be under high vacuum enabling the electron beam to travel in straight lines. In addition, samples prepared for Cryo-EM should be held at liquid nitrogen temperatures after embedding in vitreous ice.
